Black Math debut 4 song, 7" ep, from Chicago's newest dark/new/electro wave trio. Using synth, guitar, drum machines, electric cello, with male/female vox, they create songs that are catchy and melodic, as well as dark and foreboding. They conjure up what sounds like classic new wave, the great periods of Depeche Mode, Ultravox, Gary Numan, and OMD, mixed with heavy doses of post punk, reminiscent of Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, and Jesus and Mary Chain.
